What is ARPA?
The American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021 is a $1.9 trillion economic stimulus bill passed by the 117th Congress and signed into law by President Joe Biden on March 11, 2021.
This federal legislation provided the State of Wyoming $1,068,484,768 and is split out in two tranches of $534,242,384.
These are one-time federal funds and some could be used to offset revenue losses the State incurred in 2020. Wyoming has $584M in qualified revenue replacement funds. Much of those are being used to prevent further or future budget cuts. The remaining dollars were dealt with in Senate File 0066, Senate Enrolled Act No. 0020 of the 2022 Budget Session.
The amount of ARPA dollars appropriated thus far are represented by the red portion of the appropriated bar graph.
