Overview

The Wyoming Infrastructure Authority (WIA) is an instrumentality of the State of Wyoming and works to diversify and expand the state's economy by adding value to Wyoming's energy resources. We were created in 2004 by the Wyoming State Legislature and play a vital role in supporting, advocating, monitoring, and promoting Wyoming’s energy resources.

Ongoing projects include power transmission and generation, CCUS and other advanced fuel technology, coal export activity of interest to Wyoming, and bonding authority.
